• Raised thresholds will inhibit access - low saddle thresholds are specified
• Grill type drain fitted to prevent rainwater coming through where internal floor and external platforms are level
• Clear opening door widths should be 800mm-900mm.
• Preferred clear opening width 800mm.
• Doors are hanged so that they open against an adjacent wall.
• Any saddles & raised thresholds are eliminated.
• Lever door handles preferred.
• Hall width should be 1.2 mtr
• 1.5 mtr turning space for wheelchair or wheeled shower chair should be achieved.
